Ithaa translates to Mother-of-Pearls in the Maldivian language. The restaurant is built near a reef so there are always a wide variety of fish to watch.The restaurant was conceived in February of 2004 and it was finished in November of the same year. The estimated lifespan of this underwater restaurant is 20 years. Ithaa is 16 feet under the ocean.
